Today, another PPC contender comes along with great ideas. The biggest difference I can see so far is the significantly lower minimum payouts. Here are the pubMarketplacebasics:
PubMarketplace PubTools
“PubMarketplace PubTools” are a series of small, easily configurable elements that can be used to feature PubMarketplace.com ads on blogs, websites and social networking pages. Users can easily build their own customized PubMarketplace PubTool in as little as one minute.
Basically another name for widget

adMarketplace will pay you within 45 days after the end of each month in which you served clicks by the payment method you selected in your pubMarketplace account
Minimums: $25 by check or $10 by PayPal

I can’t count how many posts I’ve read about peoples’ poor experiences with AdSense regarding their high minimums. Many a blogger can tell you that they’ve had $80 or $90 sitting in their account but may never see it because of recent market conditions’ effect on PPC and other advertising methods. There are also more than a handful of posts by similar folks that have had even worse experiences such as mine where the big G has essentially stolen large sums of money from hard working bloggers and others. I have high hopes for pubMarketplace, so much so that I’ve already applied and placed a nice little tag cloud ad box in my sidebar.
Thanks for this post, very informative. I am looking them up right now. So far my AdSense experience has been pretty good, but I just started and am nowhere near getting paid…
I guess they’re doing manual approval, so it may be a while before you get in. Let me know!
I can see how some of their different ad services (i.e. the tag cloud) could pick up some clicks. However, I don’t expect pubMarketplace to be such a huge contender. It will be difficult to find good advertisers who will be willing to pay decently for clicks. The big leg up google has is a complete search engine to show the PPC results in as well. Not to mention that advertisers who use google know that it works well and can provide the full gamut of analytics on their campaigns. The closest contender google has right now is adBright and bidvertisers – neither of which have been known to even closely match what google has been able to do.
I do wish you the best though, and feel bad that you were treated so poorly. I hope that your experience with pubMarketplace is a good one, and that they are able to meet your needs as a publisher.
Thanks for the info, it really helps for those who was banned by adsense..=p
I’ll be experimenting with a few different methods of advertising for my affiliate marketing efforts, mostly because, why stick to just adwords. Sure adwords is good most of the time, but I have a feeling other advertising avenues offer cheaper cpc for some niches = higher ROI. Of course, I’ll have to check out their interface, but so long as they have keywords & negative keywords, and sufficient keyword tracking it should be fine.
Aside from that, I might become a publisher as well.
