GnackTrack is a brand new Ubuntu based penetration testing Linux distribution similar to Backtrack, but using Gnome instead of KDE as the main window manager. GnackTrack beta1 looks like its on the right track. Take a look at some screens I took in Vbox:

You can expect to find a few quirks since GnackTrack is still in early development. It looks like the creator is open to suggestions, so if you have one be sure to check out his FAQ page for contact info.

The team at offensive-security have been working their butts off on BT4 and the latest version is a testament to that. I’m making room for it on my Aspire One right now. In the mean time, I loaded it up on Vbox and dug around a little to show you some of the new features. Enjoy!
